COOKING AND WARMING INSTRUCTIONS
Medium size pan (cast iron, grill pan or non-stick pan)
Tongs Spoon Salt and Pepper
Spatula Oven Proof Pan Regular Olive Oil
Steak Doneness
Medium: add 2 minutes cooking time (1 minute in each side)
Medium Well: add 4 minutes cooking time (2 minutes on each side)
Well Done: add 6 minutes cooking time (3 minutes on each side)
Stove Top
Step 1:
Pre heat medium size pan on high heat.
Unpack steak and season both sides with Rootz rub or salt and pepper.
Turn down heat to low and add your 4 tablespoon of regular olive oil.
Place seasoned steak on the pan and cook one side for 3 minutes.
Step 2:
After, add aromatics, fresh thyme and garlic, to perfume the steak.
Flip the steak on the other side and cook for 3 minutes.
Step 3:
Then, add the butter cube to the pan, once melted start basting the steak for 1 minute to flavor. To baste, hold pan handle and tilt the pan in a slight angle to pool the butter to one side. Spoon melted butter onto the steak repeatedly. Be careful not to burn the butter. Then flip the steak to the other side and baste for one minute. Turn off your burner and place the steak in a nice plate and let it rest for a few minutes. The reason it needs to rest is because the juices need time to redistribute, otherwise it will just flow away.
Charcoal Grill
Step 1:
Heat the charcoals and maintain heat at 375 degrees.
Season both sides of the steak with Rootz rub or salt and pepper.
Place seasoned steak on the grill and cook for 3 minutes on each side.
Step 2:
After, add fresh thyme, garlic and butter on top of the steak and cook for 2 minutes.
Take the steak off the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.
Warming Steak Sauce:
When warming red wine au jus do not let it boil and reduce. Once it simmers turn off the heat, add butter and whisk.
Reheating Roasted Vegetables
If using a toaster oven or oven range, pre heat oven to 350 degrees.
Melt the butter provided and season vegetables with salt and pepper. Toss the vegetables and butter on an oven proof pan, then place it in the oven and roast it for 10 minutes. When done remove from oven and plate it.
Reheating Potato
Follow reheating instructions for Roasted Vegetables. When done remove from the oven and plate it. Then add Dijon mustard dressing and parsley.
Reheating Caesar Salad and Truffle Macaroni Salad Unpack Truffle Macaroni Salad and Caesar Salad. Place each salad in separate bowls. For the Caesar salad pour the dressing provided, and top it off with parmesan cheese.
